Booking

Booking and appointment software against real availability

Booking software sells a time, a table, a room, or a seat that exists. We build the diary, the rules, and the confirmation. A form that emails “we will get back to you” is not a booking system, and we will not describe it as one.

  • Resource diary
  • Rules
  • Guest confirmation
  • Staff override

Availability is the product

The hard work is the rule: duration, buffers, resources, deposits, and what happens when someone does not arrive. The calendar widget is the easy part. We model the resource, whether that is a practitioner, a bay, a table, or a departure.

Appointments and reservations

Clinics and workshops think in appointments. Restaurants and hotels think in reservations. The words differ and so do the failure modes. Both need a customer message when the time changes, and a staff override that leaves a trace.

A slot that cannot be sold twice

The booking holds

  • The resource and the time
  • The rule that blocks a clash
  • The message that matches the hold

A different product

  • A full channel manager
  • Dynamic prices with no policy
  • A bot that confirms what you do not have

What changes booking software

01

The resource

A room, a table, a person, and a vehicle do not share one grid without a decision.

02

The change

Cancel and move are the release. The create button is the easy part.

03

The deposit

Taking money is optional scope. Showing a hold is not the same thing.

What a booking brief needs

  1. 01

    The resource

    Room, table, person, or vehicle.

  2. 02

    The clash

The double-book you are trying to stop.

  3. 03

    The change

Cancel and move, not only create.

  4. 04

    Money

Whether a hold takes a deposit. Optional, and explicit.

Marks a slot is sold once

  1. 01

    No double book

Two people cannot hold the same slot once it is confirmed.

  2. 02

    A change updates the guest

Moving a time updates what the guest and the operator see.

  3. 03

    Capacity is a rule

Rooms, seats, or staff hours are the limit, not a note.

  4. 04

    No-show is a status

A missed booking is recorded, so the slot and the history stay honest.

What we build

Resource diary

The people, places, or departures that can be sold.

Rules

Duration, capacity, lead time, and deposits you specify.

Guest confirmation

A message that matches the record, including changes.

Staff override

A way to fix the day, with a reason, when the floor demands it.

Questions we hear

Can customers book on WhatsApp?

Yes, if the bot checks this diary. It must not invent a slot. The chatbot page describes the channel.

Do you take payments?

Deposits and prepayments can be in scope through a gateway you contract. We do not become the merchant of record.

Can this serve several branches?

Yes. Each branch has its own diary and staff, and a manager can see across them without mixing customers into the wrong book.
