Sample: an operations record for a trading desk
This sample shows an operations system for a physical trading team whose deals, shipments, and costs live in different files. It is not a brokerage terminal and it is not a client story.
Sample solution. This describes a concept we use to show the shape of a build. It is not a client engagement and it is not a result from a completed customer project.

The record
A contract with amendments, a shipment linked to that contract, and the costs that belong to it. Finance still posts to the existing ledger. The sample’s job is to stop the reconstruction at month end, not to become a second set of books.
First release
One commodity or one trade type, the people who may see a deal, and a document attached to the contract. Position reporting across the whole book, treasury, and AI extraction of contracts are later, and extraction would be a suggestion a trader confirms.
Boundaries
The concept does not place orders on an exchange, does not hold client money, and does not hide a position. Access and audit are part of the first slice because the data is the business.
A shipment and a position that match
The sample tracks
- The contract
- The shipment status
- The break when they disagree
Not claimed
- A client’s real books
- A licence
- A profit number
Why this stays a sample
The match
The useful system is the one that shows a broken match, not a green dashboard.
The client view
What a client may see is designed, not exported by habit.
The boundary
This is operations software in the sample. It is not investment advice.
